FRIDAY: Flew into NOLA around 8pm ( after a very easy and vomit free flight). Went to get car and met Sarah when her flight arrived shortly after mine. We headed to our fat-daddy rids for the weekend (shout out to Avis) and proceeded to sit in said car for, oh, about 20 minutes while trying to figure out how to work it....First glimpse of weekend fun happened when the speakers blared out the opening notes to "Summertime" and Sarah and i just looked at each and screamed....
"We are really doing this, it is really happening!" Sarah yelled,
" Shut up, I know..." i screamed back....And we sped off in search of Juli......
Arrived at Juli's after driving aimlessly around NOLA for like an hour, after finally stopping at McDonalds for directions (aka diet coke with big straw, i will ALWAYS find an excuse for you my beloved.) We went to eat at some very dark, very cool bar on Decatur, and ate to the sounds of The Cure, and our hottie Irish/English/Scottish waiter.....We headed up Bourbon for the neccessary Hand Grenade......woot woot, walked around and headed home, after scoping out venue for next days show....
We intended on getting a good night sleep, but after picking up J.D. on the way home we stayed up till 5:30 watching old New Kids footage on youtube and laughing our assess off. I am really surprised we didnt wake up the neighbors, or at least disturb the movie shooting two blocks away.....anywho, we dozed off to visions on New Kids dirty dancing in our heads.....
